Winter session of Parliament

Sir,
The winter session of Parliament started on Monday November 18, 2019 as usual as per routine the Speaker of the Lower House Mr Birla had convened a meeting of the leaders of the main political parties and sought their cooperation of all kinds to make the session a successful one and that all major and important decisions are arrived at for the overall development of the country and thus fulfilling the aspirations of the people after proper deliberation and discussion with the opposition parties. The role of the opposition parties can’t be over estimated in a vibrant democracy as India being one of the biggest democracies of the world has to follow the principle of discussion and debates.
The role of the opposite parties can more easily and comprehensively by known from the fact that the leader of the opposition party in England knows the Prime Minister better than he is known by his wife. In a democracy debates and deliberations are essential components and it is only through a thread bear discussion that an amicable and popular decision is expected but has been seen that the opposition parties sometimes use a stubborn approach and remain adamant on their point of view, which, in the long run defeats the very purpose of peaceful and amicable decision, the stubborn approach thus adopted remains unchanged and last for days together thereby impeding the passage of Bills. So in keeping in view the true spirit of democracy, the opposite parties should adopt a very constructive approach and after churning the very aspects of a certain bill or Act give their opinion which may be in the larger interests of the parliamentary democracy.
