Migrant overaged youth delegation calls on Secretary Relief, Rehabilitation

JAMMU, Nov 26: A delegation of Kashmiri migrant unemployed over aged youth and relief holders called on Secretary, Relief and Rehabilitation, P K Pole in Civil Secretariat here, today and apprised him of the difficulties being faced by them pertaining to their survival and sustenance.
The delegation also submitted a memorandum, to him demanding enhancement of cash relief , starting of entrepreneur scheme and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna for unemployed over aged youth and other deserving people of the displaced community.
The delegation informed Secretary Relief and Rehabilitation that due to highly volatile market index it is extremely difficult to manage the daily basic needs with the present cash dispensation of Rs 108 per soul per day as the same is insufficient to meet the sky rocketing market of essential commodities.
The delegation further said that being deprived of benefits of Centrally sponsored schemes educated unemployed youth of the displaced community crossed their age barrier and turned over aged so they be brought under Centrally sponsored entrepreneur scheme by providing soft loans for setting up income generating units at the places where they are presently living.
They also demanded bringing of Ayushman Bharat under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna. The delegation was informed by the Secretary that the matter was already taken and discussed by former Advisor to Governor with Ministry of Home. It is in process and will be undertaken and implemented during the second phase which is going to commence soon.
The delegation was led by Sunil Fotedar and its other members were Bharat Pandita, Ramesh Sopori, Sanjay Zutshi, Satish Raina and Sunil Pandita.
