JAMMU, Nov 26: Sunil Dimple, president Jammu West Assembly Movement today held a protest against alleged failure of Jammu Municipal Corporation, PWD , ERA for sanitation condition in Jammu city and West Assembly constituency in particular
The protest, organized on Janipur High Court road, was joined by traders, and residents of Ward number 37 , 38 and other localities.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple urged upon the Lt Governor G C Murmu to dissolve the Jammu Municipal Corporation as the body has failed to perform its job. Traders of Janipur have no public urinals and the Sulabh Sochalya work started by JMC two years back on Janipur Road has been left incomplete while sanitation condition in ward number 37, 38, 34 is worst, he alleged.
Dimple further alleged that huge public money has been spent on installing hoardings of clean Jammu but there was no cleanliness. He said JMC has become battle field among the Mayor, Corporators and all the Officers with the result people are badly suffering due to their infighting.
Sunil Dimple further alleged that the Jammu West was the most backward and most undeveloped, backward constituency of the State. He urged Lt Governor to issue necessary orders for solving the issues of sanitation, lighting problems of the main roads, lanes, flyovers etc.
Threatening to intensify the agitation against the JMC, PWD R&B , ERA, Dimple also demanded probe into works done by the JMC, PWD R&B department and money spent on the black topping of the roads in West constituency and Jammu city.
The protest was joined by Chander Bali, Sunil Bhasin, Sanjev Bakshi, Sunil Bakshi, Raman Bakshi, Ranjiet Sharma, S Bhagwan Singh, Sageer Khan, Mohmad Ashraf , Rajjev Khjuria, Arun, Rashpal, and other.
