JAMMU, Nov 27: Power Development Department (PDD) has disconnected 115 commercial and domestic installations.
As per official spokesman, a team of the officials of Electric Sub Division-I, Distribution, Gandhi Nagar headed by Er Sardari Lal, Assistant Executive Engineer along with Narotam Sharma AE and concerned Feeder Managers under the supervision of Er PD Singh Executive Engineer conducted mass disconnection drive of the electric connections, who have not paid arrear amount till date.
The team disconnected 115 commercial and domestic installations. An amount of Rs 35.74 lakh has been recovered on the spot from the consumers.
The areas where disconnection drive was carried out Gandhi Nagar, Channi, Sainik Colony, Bahu Plaza, Transport Nagar and adjoining areas.
