JWAM appeals LG to start ‘Open Darbar’

JAMMU, Nov 27: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) President Sunil Dimple has appealed to Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu to start ‘Open Darbar’ in Raj Bhawan to listen grievances of Jammu region people.
Addressing a press conference, Dimple appealed to the LG J&K to meet the people from all sections of the society in Jammu region and listen their grievances.
“People of Jammu are facing lots of problems”, Dimple said and appealed to the LG to meet the people on daily basis in Raj Bhawan to mitigate their sufferings.
Dimple added that the people are over burdened with taxes, power and water tariffs, toll plaza taxes and many harsh draconian rules.
Turning of full fledged J&K State into Union Territory has multiplied the problems of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, he stated.
The lawyers are on strike and the people are facing manifold problems to get their works related to courts done, he said and appealed to the LG GC Murmu to meet Bar Association and lawyers for talks to redress their demands.
He also demanded roll back of amended MV Act, closure of Sarore Toll Plaza and withdrawal of 9 per cent road tax.
Others present during the press conference were Manjiet Anand, Sat Pal Kohli, Chuni Lal Bhat, Shiv Kumar, Harbans Singh, Sachi Soi, Ajay Kumar, Om Parkash Sharma, Rupesh Bhat and Randhir Jamwal.
