JAMMU, Nov 28: Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu has called for utilization of Government land as the first resort for all new Government projects.
An official order issued today by the Union Territory Government said during review of execution of projects, the Lieutenant Governor directed that all Government Departments should use the Government land as a first resort for setting up of new projects.
However, in the event of non-availability of Government land, alternate options will be explored by the Departments after the concerned Deputy Commissioner certifies non-availability of Government land.
The Government order warned that non-compliance of the instructions will be viewed seriously and entail severe disciplinary action.
