JAMMU, Dec 1: Castigating former BJP MLA, Bali Bhagat for manipulating claims of development in the constituency, senior Congress leader Jung Bahadur Sharma said that assertions made by BJP leader are nothing but bundles of lies with no basis at all.
JB Sharma, who is block president from Bhalwal, said that toeing the line of his senior party colleagues, Bali has also achieved mastery in presenting colourful headlines and creating noisy media hype despite achieving a `big zero’ at the ground level where people are still lurching for the mere basic amenities.
“Whatever, he is saying or taking credit of is either completed or initiated by the previous Congress Government and his assertions are completely bogus and part of propaganda of his party,” BCC chief said in the meeting held here today.
BCC president further said that the project of 100-beded hospital was recommended and initiated by the former Deputy Chief Minister, Pt Mangat Ram during the regime of Congress Government in the erstwhile J&K State. He said that the Paloura Degree College was also sanctioned during the regime of Congress Government in J&K when Ghulam Nabi Azad was the Chief Minister and Mula Ram, Ex MLA of Raipur- Domana constituency the Cabinet Minister. He said that BJP leaders did nothing for the welfare of people except befooling them by taking advantages of development works initiated by Congress during its regime in J&K and at the Centre.
The Block president also asserted that the four-lanning of Jammu- Akhnoor project, which BJP is trying to take credit, was the old project and initiated during the regime of Congress Government in 2004-05. He said that the most of the roads falling under the Raipur- Domana constituency are presently in shambles. He said the commuters are facing numerous problems due to dilapidated condition of Bantalab–Ghrota road.
“It is unfortunate that BJP leaders are claiming of massive development taking place but the actual position on ground is something else,” he said and asked firmer BJP MLA to come out of his house to see the miseries of the people of Raipur- Domana constituency.
