Crime Branch books fraudster

JAMMU, Dec 3: Crime Branch Jammu has booked a Delhi based fraudster for duping a person in Jammu to the tune of Rs 28 lakhs.
A formal case has been registered against fraudster- Upendra Singh Rudradev, son of Sukhi Lal Singh of 108/09 Pocket 10 Rohini Delhi, for cheating and duping the complainant to the tune of Rs 28 lakhs by offering him partnership on the pretext of operating different projects with Indian Cooperative Mission (ICOM), New Delhi.
The case owes its origin to a written complaint by one Puran Chand son of Late Lal Chand of village Gazipur Kullia, District. Jammu. The complainant had alleged that the accused introduced himself as National Head Organization Committee of Indian Cooperative Mission and cheated by duping him of an amount of Rs 28 lakhs on the pretext of operating different projects like Janvardan Health Academy and Prime Minister Preventive Health Mission
On the basis of the complaint, Crime Branch Jammu initiated a preliminary enquiry, during which it was prima facie established that the complainant was actually defrauded by the accused of his hard earned money.
Thereafter, a formal case was registered in Crime Branch Jammu and the investigation has been set in motion.
