Jheewer community holds mashal rally

JAMMU, Mar 19: All J&K Kashyap Rajput Sabha (Jheewer community) held a mashal rally pertaining to their long pending demands.
The rally, started from Moti bazaar and after passing through Raj Tilak road, Purani Mandi, culminated at City Chowk.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers criticized the State rulers for framing Reservation Act-2004 and termed it as a mockery with the State OBCs.
They asked the Government to reserve the seats of OBCs in the Municipal Corporations/ Committees, Block Development Councils, panchayats and also demanded representation in the Law Making Body.
They added that the OBC Advisory Board headed by Chief Minister as its chairman has failed to yield results towards the upliftment and development of the State OBCs.
They demanded change of nomenclature from OSC to OBC, review of income slab, etc.
The speakers, who addressed that gathering were Vaishno Dutt Dogra, president, All J&K Kashyap Rajput Sabha (Jheewer community), Ajudhiya Kumar Manawa, president, All J&K Prajapati Sabha, Kasturi Lal Basotra, president, Sain Samaj, Bansi Lal Choudhary, convener, All J&K OBC Mahasabha, Muni Lal Badan, president, Kathua district, etc.
