JAMMU, Mar 19: A delegation of Provincial Electrical Employees Union (PEEU) under the leadership of PC Sharma called on Principal Secretary this evening and discussed burning demands and problems of the employees.
In its meeting, the delegation discussed 14 points agenda with the Principal Secretary, PDD, which included insurance covered scheme for all PDD employees working in risk prone areas, immediate payment of ex-gratia relief to the victimized employees amounting to Rs 3 lakh, safety tools and equipments to all working employees and regularization of all daily wagers engaged after 1994, who have completed seven years of service.
Besides, the delegation also demanded reorganization of the department including creation of posts by way of unbundling of the department and training for all the PDD employees through capsule and departmental training courses.
PC Sharma also asserted to make policies and norms in favour of employees while unbundling and restructuring of PDD.
The Principal Secretary assured the delegation that their demands will be considered positively and no employee would have to suffer due to unbundling of the department.
Davinder Sharma, district president, Kathua, Har Darshan Singh, president, District Sub Unit, Hiranagar, Bishan Singh, district president, Jammu, Shiv Charan Singh, Ajit Singh, Rajesh Sumbria, Ashwani Sharma, Tirath Ram and Rajan Singh were also part of the delegation.
