JAMMU, Dec 6: Floral tributes were paid to Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar—the architect of the Constitution on his death anniversary.
Bahujan Samaj Party held a programme under the chairmanship of MP Rajya Sabha Raja Ram to pay tributes to Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib Dr BR Ambedkar on his death anniversary. The programme was organized at BSP State Headquarter Satwari, wherein MP Raja Ram spoke on the contribution and sacrifices of Dr Ambedkar for the upliftment of down trodden communities and right of equality to women folk. Parkash Bharti and Naresh Saran Coordinators, SR Majotra, President BSP, Vice President Charanjeet Chanrgotra, Ex MLA Som Nath and many others also spoke on the occasion.
Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray J&K unit today paid floral tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar. Tribute ceremony was held at the party office Jammu under the chairmanship of Party President J&K Manish Sahni. On this occasion, 500 packets of free Saheb Food were also distributed. President Mahila Wing Meenakshi Chibber, Working President Ashwini Gupta, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Senior Vice president Surjeet Singh, Secretary Raj Singh, Sanjeev Soodan, Champa Devi , Rakesh Handa, Sunil Bhasin, Arjun Kumar, Mangu Ram, Bhuri Singh, Vijay Choudhary and many other were present.
ABVP Jammu Mahanagar organized a programme on the death anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar namely “Samajik Samrasta Diwas” in which more than 25 safai karamcharis were felicitated. The programme was presided over by Dev Anand gill President, Safaikaramchari Union, while chief guest was Dr Jaspal Singh State Secretary, Shaikshik Mahasangh JK Unit and guest of honor was MS Katoch. The progarmme was conducted by Deepak Gupta State Secretary ABVP JK. While speaking, the speakers threw light on the life and teachings of Dr Ambedkar. In the end, Parteek Raina presented vote of thanks. Among others present were Nandita Sharma, Sunakshi Gupta, Akshay Sharma Joint Secretary, ABVP Jammu Mahanagar, Nikhil, Sajan, Sugam, Priyanshu, Sumedha, Divya, Zaiba, Sparsh Gupta and Saksham.
A program was organized by the Power Grid SC, ST, Backward and Minorities Employees Association at Government Primary School, Jogpur in Tehsil Vijaypur, District Samba on the death anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The program was chaired by Office Director Northern Region-II Power Grid Corporation of India, Rakesh Kumar, while Chief of Panchayat Shilpa Dubey was also present.
On the occasion, school bags, track suits, socks, shoes, jackets and stationery were distributed by the Association to the students of Government Primary School, Jogpur. Sandeep Kumar, Rahul Dogra, Naib Sarpanch Sukhjinder Singh Bhola, Panch Anu Gupta, Panch Sharda Devi and social worker Chandra Shekhar Sharma were among others present on the occasion.
All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations observed death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar at Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu. Tribute was paid to Dr Ambedkar by lighting candles and garlanding the statue. RK Kalsotra, State President, shed light on the life of Ambedkar. Ashok Kumar Attri, President Bahujan Mukti Party J&K, Sham Talib, renowned author, Rakesh Kumar, educationalist, Mohinder Kumar, Rangesh Hans, Bharat Gill, Krishna Thappa, Amar Nath Dogra, Madan Lal Bangotra, Dya Ram Bhagat and Dheeeaj Sadotra were among others, who spoke on the occasion.
