MENDHAR, Dec 12: A car caught fire under mysterious circumstances near Golad in Mendhar Sub Divison of Poonch district last night.
A police spokesman said that Toyota vehicle No. JK12A/ 1861 belonging to one Gulam Murtaza, son of Mohd Akram Khan, resident of Gohlad in Mendhar, caught fire under mysterious circumstances at Seri Ari village, about 2 kms away from owner’s residence. After getting information, Police team rushed to the spot. The car had completely damaged in the incident.
Besides SHO, Tehsildar Mendhar, Dr Vikram Raina also reached the spot. He said that the matter was being investigated by police. The cause of fire is being ascertained but it appears to be some mischief. A case FIR No 179 U/S 436 IPC has been registered at Mendhar Police Station.
