RAJOURI, Dec 12: In his efforts to streamline Health facilities in the district and keep check on habitual absenteeism of employees, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohd Nazir Sheikh today placed 15 Medical employees, including a doctor under suspension and stopped the salary of three others engaged under NHM.
Official sources said that based on the reports of SDM Thannamandi and BMO Darhal, eight employees from Primary Health Centre, Lah (Darhal Block) were placed under suspension. The DC also sought explanation from Zonal Medical Officer, Lah about the habitual absenteeism in the Hospital.
Those placed under suspension are – Dr Vibhakar (Dental Surgeon), Majid Khan -Dental Technician, Nasreen Akhtar-Junior Staff Nurse, Shamim Akhtar & Tahira Akhtar both FMPHW, Mohd Alyas- Lab Technician, Mohd Afzal -Nursing Orderly and Mohd Arif-Safaiwalla.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner along with team of officers paid surprise visit to District Tuberculosis Centre, Rajouri on Wednesday at 2.30 pm and found 10 employees absent from duty. Some had marked their attendance but the office. Taking serious note of the matter, the DC placed seven of them under suspension and stopped the salary of three others, engaged under NHM.
Those suspended are: Tanveer Hussain- Head Pharmacist, Shakeel Ahmed- Xray Tech, Abdul Rehman- Pharmacist, Aurangzeb Mirza- Xray Tech, Mohd Rauf – Lab Tech, Mohd Bashir- Jr Assistant and Mohd Iqbal – Xray Assistant. Three others whose salary has been stopped are-Ajay Sharma DEO/NHM, Rafiq Ahmed STS/NHM and Waseem Ahmed STLS / NHM.
The Dy CMO has been asked to hold detailed inquiry and submit report on both the lapses. The DC has also sought explanation from DTC Rajouri, BMO Darhal and ZMO Lah. Those suspended shall remain attached to the office of AC Revenue, Rajouri and mark their attendance in the morning and evening as well. CMO Rajouri has been asked to make alternate arrangement of staff at these institutions.
