JAMMU, Dec 13: Veterinary Doctors’ Association (VDA), Jammu Division has expressed resentment over appointment of a non-technical person as Director Animal Husbandry Jammu.
Discussing the issue during general body meeting of the Association, speakers said that due to the recent order issued by the GAD regarding posting of a non-technical person, there is strong resentment among the veterinarians.
Expressing displeasure at the intention of the Government for bureaucratization of the technical department, the members said the Government is deliberately ignoring the legitimate rights of the veterinarians.
The meeting decided that in case the order is not reverted at the earliest, the veterinarians will resort to peaceful agitation against the injustice done to them.
It was further informed in the meeting that the order issued by the GAD is in contravention to the SRO 670 dated 25-10-2019 and the SRO 897 dated 26-10-2019 wherein it was amply clarified that the post of the Director is borne on the strength of the Animal Husbandry Department, Jammu.
