Socio-eco development depends on good road connectivity: Bali

JAMMU, Dec 13: Former Minister and senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bali Bhagat today toured Raipur-Domana constituency and took stock of the ongoing developmental works. Bhagat inaugurated the Kot-Kalakam-Baran road which was started in 2015-2016 with an estimated cost of Rs 4.50 crore and covering a distance of 7 kms. The Kot-Kalakam-Baran Road was funded by NABARD.
Addressing the gathering, Bhagat said prior to 2014, the road connectivity in Raipur-Domana was in shambles and after assuming the charge as a Minister in BJP-PDP coalition Government, he thrust mainly on the road connectivity in the rural areas of the Raipur-Domana constituency. He said Bantalab-Amb Gharota road was in dilapidated condition and in 2017 he got completed that road on priority basis.
Stressing on strict adherence of timelines, Bali Bhagat requested the concerned officials for proper utilization of resources in a time-bound manner to ensure holistic and sustainable development of the constituency.
Bhagat also interacted with local residents and gave a patient hearing to their issues. He assured them that all their genuine concerns will be looked into on priority and requested the concerned officials to take adequate measures to mitigate the problems of the locals at the earliest. The local people also brought some other issues to his notice for early disposal. Later, Bhagat inaugurated the newly constructed Banquet Hall, Karam Palace at Kalakam.
