KATRA, Dec 13: In continuation to the drive against drug abuse in the holy town Katra, Police today apprehended one drug peddler and recovered 158 grams of cannabis from his possession.
The accused, namely Kulbushan son of Munshi Ram of Badigarh, Tehsil Majalta, District Udhampur (at present Ganpati Lane Katra) was intercepted by a Police party near SMVD Sports Complex, Katra when he was coming towards Katra Bazar.
A case FIR number 269/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Katra. The arrest was made by SHO PS Katra Inspr Pardeep Gupta.
