MENDHAR, Dec 14: The residents of Chhatral, the home village of Ex-MLA from NC and its adjoining areas in Mendhar Sub Division are up in arms against the authorities for dilapidated condition of the Sakhi Maidan-Chhatral road.
The condition of the road is so bad that most of the operators have stopped to ply their vehicles on this road. The road at many places through out the stretch, is dotted with potholes, posing risk of accidents.
The locals of the area Dilshad Jatt, Akeel Khan and others said that the concerned Department has failed to undertake even minor repairs of this road. Despite approaching the concerned authorities, no action was taken, they said.
“We are suffering immensely due to dilapidated condition of this road,” a local said adding that they have now urged the LG, J&K UT to consider this genuine issue and direct concerned R&B officials to improve the road.
