BOSE office lying defunct in Leh: Narboo

JAMMU, Mar 20: The ‘Zero Hour’ in the Legislative Council started today with Narboo Gialchain raising the issue about defunct Board of School Education, Leh, non-availability of examination forms and negligence of the BOSE in forwarding practical answer papers to the concerned for evaluation. He demanded officials of BOSE be held accountable.
Ajat Shatrusingh suggested holding of workshops for training legislators and sensitize them about the procedures of the House.
Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri raised the issue of recent unrest in Valley. He said harassment and arresting of youth by the police will further deteriorate the situation and demanded halt to such actions by the Police. Reacting to this, the Minister of State for Home, Mr. Sajad Ahmad Kichloo asked the member to provide the information of any area where such things have happened so that matter is looked into accordingly.
Jahangir Hussain Mir raised the issue of non-availability of teachers in educational institutions in Poonch and demanded transfer of native teachers back to Poonch district who are presently posted in Leh and Kargil for over three years.
Abdul Majeed Bhat raised issue of defunct tube-wells at Homeshalibugh and other adjacent villages and demanded action to make them fully functional at an earliest.
Aga Syed Ahmad Rizvi raised the issue of non-availability of funds to Zanaskar Development Authority and demanded early release of funds to settle the claims of the contractor for work done.
Javed Ahmad Rana raised the issue of advance drawals made in ZEO, Mankote and demanded thorough enquiry and action against erring officials. Vice Chairman, Khalid Najeed Suhrwardi in this connection directed the Government to collect the facts and inform the House.
B.R.Kundal raised the issue of the shortage of accommodation at Govt Middle School, Maralian RS Pura and demanded early shifting of ZEOs office from the school, which has caused inconvenience to the students.
Showkat Hussain Ganai raised the issue of dilapidated condition of road in Shopain and demanded widening of Bijbehera-Shopian road.
G.N.Monga raised the issue of mysterious killing of a youth at Sopore and demanded investigation to find out the cause of death.
Ali Mohammad Dar raised the issue of defunct tubewells and hand pumps and demanded inquiry in the matter. Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri demanded constitution of House Committee to examine the matter.
