JAMMU, Dec 15: The locals of Mandal Phallain have demanded renovation of Sure Chak-Chak Jogi road linking the area with Mandal Phallain.
They alleged that despite their repeated pleas the authorities have failed to repair the road which is causing problems for them.
They further said that many other roads in the area like Rambagh, Kulliyan and Sardare Chak villages too are in worst condition and needs immediate repair to avoid mishaps.
The locals of these villages have also said that due to a broken irrigation channel in the area, water has entered their fields causing losses to the ripe paddy crop.
The villagers have appealed to the concerned authorities to compensate them for their crop losses.
