CM, GOC call on Governor

JAMMU, Mar 20: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today called on Governor N. N. Vohra at Raj Bhavan here this evening.
During their discussions, the Governor was informed by the Chief Minister about the latest position in regard to the flow of funds from the Centre under the Annual Plan and other schemes; issues under discussion in the Legislature and about public order management.
Meanwhile, Maj. General I. Narayana, GOC, Romeo Force also called on Mr. Vohra, today. He was accompanied by Brigadier K. S. Rao during his meeting with the Governor.
Besides briefing the Governor about the security situation in the area of his responsibility, Maj. General Narayana invited the Governor to participate in a Seminar on “Security and Development in Conflict Areas”, which is planned to be held shortly at the Nagrota Military Station. The Army is organizing discussions on this important subject in collaboration with the University of Jammu, Central University of Kashmir, IDSA and CLAWS.
