KARGIL, Dec 17: In order to discuss and deliberate upon various projects and future course of action for the development of Urban Local Bodies sector in Kargil district, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan convened a meeting of the concerned officers at Council Secretariat here today.
Executive Councillor for Tourism Phunsog Tashi, Director Urban Local Bodies and Industries Ladakh Moses Kunzang, Councillor Kargil Town Haji Muhammad Abbass, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Kargil Shafqat Ali Khan besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, a number of issues with regard to the strengthening of the Urban Local Bodies and development of Kargil town came up for thorough discussion.
Moses Kunzang informed the CEC Kargil that various projects for solid waste management, establishment of parking spaces, beatification of Kargil town and other development projects for Kargil town are in the pipeline.
Earlier, the Director Urban Local Bodies Ladakh also held an introductory meeting with the Councillors of different wards of Municipal Committee Kargil to assess the developmental requirements of their respective wards. Various other issues with regard to the development of Kargil town also came up for discussion and the Councillors put forth their suggestions and inputs.
