NMC demands hike in medical allowance of pensioners

JAMMU, Dec 17: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has demanded that medical allowance of J&K pensioners should be enhanced from Rs. 300 to 1000 on the pattern of central government pensioners.
Addressing a meeting here today NMC president Subash Shastri appealed to the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chander Murmu to consider the demand of J&K pensioners and issue necessary sanction in this regards.
Shastri also said that J&K pensioners should also be compensated at par with their counterparts of Central government in regards to welfare schemes.
He also demanded implementation all Central Labour Laws in J&K and regularization of all daily rated workers working in various departments of J&K.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Gara Ram, Darshan Bawa, Madan Lal Bhagat, Bhupinder Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Sadeeq Mohd and others were also present in the meeting.
