JAMMU, Dec 20: Dr Parveen Akhter Lone, Professor and Head of Department (HoD) of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu, has been awarded fellowship by the International College of Dentists.
The fellowship was awarded to Dr Lone in a functions held in New Delhi.
She was awarded fellowship for her meritorious professional services in the field of dentistry.
Dr Lone is the second dentist from Jammu and Kashmir after Dr Reeyaz Farooq, Principal Government Dental College Srinagar and first in Jammu region to get this honour. She presented her research papers in number of national conference and has various publications in international and national journals to her credit. She is also Reviewer of various indexed journals.
Besides this, Dr Lone has also received Award of Excellence at Golden Jubilee celebrations from King George Medical University Lucknow and Woman Achievers Award from Times of India Group.
She had also bagged outstanding student award from International College of Dentists in Mumbai.
