AIKPC discusses problems of displaced Pandits

JAMMU, Dec 20: All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) held a meeting at Jagti under the leadership of Ravinder Koul a social activist in which the problems faced by the displaced Pandits especially the over-aged youth were thread bare discussed,
Addressing the meeting Kuldeep Kashmiri said that hope had generated among the community in 2014 after a massive mandate was given by the people to BJP but it too dashed into ground as the problems of community instead of being solved compounded day by day. The meeting alleged that the GoI and UT Government has taken the community for granted and has even failed to address the short term problems.
Kashmiri said there is no end to the problems of the displaced Pandits who were forced to flee from Valley by the separatists and terrorists over 30 years back. He said despite the enormous contribution in nation building and Indian culture and civilization, the GOI has failed to restore the lost homeland to the community.
The meeting was of two sessions and the second session was presided over by M L Raina who appealed the youngsters to be connected to roots. AIKPC president, H N Jattu also addressed the session. The others who spoke included Ravinder Raina, Inder Bali and Munu. It was resolved that a united struggle will be launched for the genuine demands of the community.
