After failing in CA student hangs self

KATHUA, May 13: After remaining unsuccessful in Chartered Accountant(CA) exams, a girl student hailing from Kathua city today committed suicide by hanging.
The deceased, Priya Padwal, is said to be the daughter of an engineer, Jasbir Singh of Ward No.1, Kathua. Parents had gone to attend a function while girl was all alone at home. Taking advantage of her loneliness, she used a rope to hang self on the ceiling hook meant for fan and committed suicide.
The parents when reached home, this afternoon saw girl hanging from ceiling hook. They informed police and later removed to hospital. The doctor declared her as brought dead. The deceased had left behind a suicide note, mentioning that she was disturbed with the failure in her CA exams and was going to end her life. She had mentioned that she was herself responsible for this act.
The police handed over the body to the family after conducting postmortem and other legal formalities. It has registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and started investigation.
