JAMMU, May 13: Post Graduate and Under Graduate students today held a protest demonstration in the premises of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), pertaining to long duration power cuts and irregular water supply.
Hundreds of students assembled in front of the Emergency unit of GMCH and raised slogans against the administration for its failure in redressing their demands.
Students said that due to frequent power cuts, their studies are getting affected and added that the water supply to the hostel is also affected from the past over two weeks.
One of the students alleged that they were facing problems due to frequent power cuts and water scarcity from the past over two weeks. He added that the matter was brought to the notice of the concerned authorities, but they failed to redress the issues till date, compelling them to hold protest.
He added that if their demands were not redressed at the earliest, they will adopt agitational path and for any untoward incident the administration will be responsible.
