JAMMU, Dec 24: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today convened a meeting to review the status of land acquisition cases of Border Road Organisation pertaining to Rajouri and Reasi.
Div Com asked Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division to expedite the process for disposal of all pending land acquisition cases of BRO.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of BRO in person while Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and Reasi attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The Div Com held a detailed discussion on land acquisition cases of Akhnoor-Poonch Road and other roads. The DCs apprised the Div Com about the present status of land acquisition cases in their respective districts. It was informed that in some cases final awards have been issued while other cases are also under process.
He directed the DCs to clear all pending land acquisition cases of BRO for smooth execution of works on Roads.
