KISHTWAR, Dec 24: SSP Kishtwar Dr Harmeet Singh Mehta inaugurated Bar Coding System in Malkahna at Police Station Kishtwar.
Using the latest software to keep track of the case property, Police has taken the first step in modernizing the Malkhana System which is a room or place to keep seized property.
Providing unique Barcode IDs and appropriate packing in an upgraded Malkhana room, under the new system, details of the case property are first entered into the software and a unique barcode is uploaded and consequently case property is prevented from any damage or loss.
Further it fixes the responsibility of the person depositing and withdrawing the items from Malkhana.
SSP Kishtwar said E-Malkhanas with modern technology will make things easy. It is a revolutionary step. “The software also allows visual details of any case property at the simple click of a button and is the step towards making other registers in police station computerized”, he added.
