JAMMU, Dec 30: Nowabad police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nowabad Police Station led by SHO Inspector Deepak Jasrotia laid a naka near Vinayak Bazaar and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team around 40 grams recovered heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Firdous Ahmed, son of Mohammad Younis, a resident of District Kulgam.
A case under FIR Number 186/19 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Nowabad Police Station and investigation started.
