KATHUA, Jan 1: A motorcyclist was killed and two pillion riders were seriously injured when the bike on which they were traveling was hit by unknown vehicle near Dayalachack on National Highway this evening.
The accident took place when the three youth were on a motorcycle on their way towards Kathua area were hit by unknown vehicle which fled away from the scene.
The trio motorcyclists fell down on the road in serious condition. They were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Hiranagar. The doctors declared one of the injured as brought dead and two others were under treatment in the hospital. The deceased was identified as Gourav, 22 resident of Barnoti , Kathua. The two injured are identified as Akshay 21, son of Sat Pal resident of Vijaypur and Aman, son of Sodhagar Mal resident of Palli Morh, Kathua.
The Hiranagar Police has registered a case into the matter and started investigation in this regard.
