UDHAMPUR, Jan 1: Majalta Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued eight number of cattle besides arresting the bovine smugglers.
Acting on reliable information, Police team laid a surprise naka near Majalta and intercepted one Truck bearing registration number JK02W-3317, which was on way towards Kashmir.
During the thorough search, the vehicle was found loaded of eight bovine animals. Police rescued the animals and seized the vehicle besides arresting driver Zakir Hussain and his associate Sadam Ali, both residents of Bathindi Jammu.
A case FIR number 115 under Section 188/RPC 3 PCA Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Majalta.
