JAMMU, Jan 1: Jhajjar Kotli police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 90 kilograms of poppy straw from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a Jammu bound vehicle bearing registration number JK01Q-6512.
During checking, police team recovered 90 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested one person, who has been identified as Sanjay Singh Chib, son of Bajan Singh Chib of Satowali, Suchetgarh.
A case under FIR number 2/2020 under Sections 8/15/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
