In recent years, walking on frozen river Zanskar is an ultimate experience for adventure lovers.
Chadar Trek is the only way in and out for Zanskaris in winters when all other ways are closed due to heavy snowfall at high passes.
It had been trade route for centuries for Zanskari people. Now the route is also famous as winter trekking among adventure lovers.
The 45 days Trek will start this week and will remain there till February 15.
Last year about 3200 trekkers, mostly Indians, did Chader Trek.
The 5 to 6 days Chader Trek starts from Shingra in Chiling village to Nyraks and nearly 80 to 100 trekkers are allowed on daily basis. All the trekkers have to go through medical test before proceeding on such harsh and challenging trek in minus temperature.
