UDHAMPUR, Jan 2: A young man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his house in Ward number 17, Link Road Udhampur while dead body of an elderly man was found in DMU train, here today.
Reports said that Gurpreet Singh (33), son of Karnal Singh of Ward number 17 was found dead at his residence, this morning. On being informed, Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem.
Cause of death could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case under 174 RPC for further investigation.
Meanwhile, an elderly man, around 58 to 60 -year-old, was found dead in a DMU plying from Jammu to Udhampur Railway Station. The body has been shifted to mortuary of District Hospital Udhampur for identification. GRP Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
