JAMMU, Jan 3: Parkash Parav of 10th Guru of Sikhs, Shri Guru Govind Singh Ji was celebrated at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Kapoor Singh Nagar, Gole Gujral under the supervision of Mahant Manjit Singh Ji of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib.
Thousands of devotees participated in the Gurmat Samagam.
Various Sikh organizations including Shiromani Akali Dal, Sikh United Front, Bhai Kanhya Nishkam Sewa Society, Sikh Naujwan Sabha and Sikh Welfare Society J&K participated in the religious congregation with zeal and enthusiasm.
Ragi Jatha of Dalbir Singh of Darbar Sahib, Amritsar; Bhai Kulvinder Singh Ji of Singh Sabha, Gole Gujral; Sarwan Singh, Parcharak Gurdaspur; Rajinder Singh, Parcharak J&K; Ranjit Singh from UP and Ragi Jatha of Digiana Ashram Jammu also recited Shabad Kirtan.
Mahant Manjit Singh Ji of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib threw light on the life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji who sacrificed his entire family to save the humanity.
He stressed upon the Sikh community to adopt the path shown by Guru Gobind Singh Ji to become a true and pure Sikh to serve the poor and needy.
Meanwhile, Parkash Parav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji was also celebrated in Kathua where a Nagar Kirtan was taken out by Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee led by its President, Charanjit Singh.
The Nagar Kirtan started from Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Kathua and passed through various parts of the city and finally returned back at Gurudwara Singh Sabha.
The Ghatka party displayed talents in various war activities.
Deputy Commissioner Kathua, O.P Bhagat, leaders of various political parties, civil society and others joined the Nagar Kirtan.
