UDHAMPUR, Jan 5: Udhampur Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued five animals.
Based on some reliable information, a Police party led by SHO Udhampur, Insp Vijay Choudhary, laid a naka at NHW near Jakheni Chowk and intercepted one Tata Mobile JK21E- 6596.
During the checking, five bovine animals were found loaded in this vehicle without any permission. All the bovine animals were rescued even as the accused driver managed to escape taking the advantage of heavy traffic on road.
In this connection, a case FIR number 03/2020 U/S 188, RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation is going on.
