Moscow, Jan 6: UK film director Sam Mendes won the Golden Globe award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) as the best director for his movie “1917” during a ceremony on Sunday. “Congratulations to Sam Mendes – Best Director – Motion Picture – 1917,” the Golden Globe Awards wrote on Twitter.
