JAMMU, Jan 10: As per directives of higher authorities of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd, a rigorous checking was conducted at Bari Brahmana area under the supervision of AEE Electrical, Rajeev Sharma.
The drive was conducted to disconnect the illegal hooking and to unearth the concealed load used by the consumers.
A total of 250 connections were checked and defaulters were penalized of Rs. 2.50 lakh while a revenue of Rs. 1.50 lakh was realized on the spot.
About 30 illegal connections were cut and FIR was lodged against such customers.
The team was joined by SHO Bari Brahmna and his cops as well.
People were advised to use electricity judiciously and avoid power theft.
The team was accompanied by K.N Singh, AE; Ravi Khah, Vinod Digra, Vijay Ragni, F.M Sudershan Singh, Meter Readers, Buti Ram, Gopal Das, Ashok, Farid, Raju, Mohan Singh and others.
