JAMMU, Jan 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed deep shock and anguish over the killing of two Army porters including the barbaric beheading of one of them and injuries to three others in a BAT action in Poonch area by Pakistan.
In a strongly worded statement JKPCC has condemned the Pakistan for the continued misadventure and mischiefs on the LoC, causing the heavy loss of lives and property to our soldiers and border residents while breaking all past records of ceasefire violations of last 16 years.
The party chief spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma questioned the BJP and Modi Government for its failure to prevent and control Pakistan from indulging in regular mischiefs on borders by resorting to regular ceasefire violations and BAT actions leading to worst kind of international norms and Human Rights violations of beheading the porter. He sought immediate befitting response to such misadventures by Pakistan.
When UPA was in power, two such inhuman acts by Pakistan were questioned by BJP and Narendra Modi terming it a weak Government but now several such shameful mischiefs were done by Pakistan but Modi Government should explain why failed to take effective action to check Pakistan, which is very unfortunate.
He expressed deep sympathies of party with the families of martyred and injured and full solidarity with the Armed forces who are sacrificing their lives to defeat the proxy war of Pakistan. ” We are proud of our brave forces and soldiers, who are always ready and capable enough to defeat the designs of enemy and to carry out any assignment and duty towards of the country but our forces are disciplined to follow the orders of the duly elected Government in the democratic system on the issue of PoJK,” Sharma said.
” PoJK is our integral part but under illegal occupation of Pakistan for which there is unanimous resolution of Parliament during Narashimha Rao Government and now it is for the present government to decide the future course of action, to take back our territory,” he maintained.
