JAMMU, Jan 11: A morning walker was hit and killed today by an unknown vehicle in Marh area on city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Rishpal Chand (36) son of Thoru Ram, resident of Marh,” a police official said, adding he was on a morning walk when an unknown vehicle hit and left him seriously injured at Dheri Morh in Marh area.
He said in critical condition, the man was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. “A case has been registered in this connection at police station Domana and further investigation started while the body of the deceased was handed over to his family members for last rites,” the official added.
