The BJP MLAs with placards in their hands reiterated to continue boycott till the suspension order is revoked. The pla- cards read “we will not tolerate disrespect to martyrs, discrimination with Jammu, Ladakh regions, and dictatorship of Ministers. It also read that opposition to AFSPA will not be allowed.
Talking to media persons the protesting BJP Legislators said that they will not allow the revocation of AFSPA at any cost as the situation in the State is not conducive for the same and militancy has raised its ugly head once again.
Expressing concern over growing discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh regions they said that BJP MLAs were not allowed to raise this issue in the House and Jugal Kishore Sharma was suspended for taking up this issue.
“The House was the appropriate forum to raise the issue of discrimination and seek a reply from the Government but we were not allowed to do the same and were marshaled out from the House” said Jugal Kishore Sharma.
Accusing the Ministers of playing the role of Marshal, he said one of the Minister’s broke the arm of Choudhary Sukhnandan on March 19 while dragging Sharma out of the House.
He said the Party will continue the protest and also mobilize the public opinion throughout the state against the NC-Congress coalition.
Terming Congress as B team of NC, Ashok Khajuria said it is fully backing the NC policies and had it not been so, the Party would have since come out of coalition on Guru issue as NC also joined opposition in demanding his dead body be brought to Srinagar and termed the mastermind of Parliament attack as Guru Sahib.
