JAMMU, Jan 13: Former Member Legislative Council, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today kick-started tile laying work at Ward No-47, Bahu Fort in presence of Corporator, Sharda Kumari.
While addressing the locals on the occasion Randhawa said that the condition of the lane of Ward No-47 was dilapidated and the residents have approached him for renovation and repair of the same. He said that the matter was subsequently taken up with the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) which sanctioned Rs 8.5 lakh for the tile work of the lane.
Randhawa expressed his satisfaction that the work on the long pending demand of the people has started. He directed the executing agency to ensure the quality of work for long durability of the lane. He assured the locals that being their representative he is always at their disposal and anybody can approach him anytime without any hesitation. He said that making Gandhi Nagar a model constituency is his dream and will fight tooth and nail to work for the betterment and upliftment of the people.
He further urged upon the locals to maintain public properties well including lanes, drains and parks etc as proper maintenance and good care will ensure their long life. He said that BJP has many development projects in its kitty and all nooks and corners which have been neglected by the Congress legislator will be developed on priority basis.
The locals present on the occasion expressed their gratitude to the former MLC and extended full support to the BJP in future also.
