Fidayeen has no age: DGP

JAMMU, Mar 23: Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad said today that a fidayeen has no age.
“What about Syed Salah-ud-Din (the Hizbul Mujahideen supremo)”? he shot back in response to a query by a reporter that whether an over 40 years old person can be a fidayeen.
Mr Prasad took only three questions after inaugurating `Nasha Mukti Kendra’ at Police Officers’ mess here this evening.
He said the matter pertaining to the arrest of Syed Liyaqat Shah of Kupwara was being investigated by Delhi Police and he won’t be able to comment on the outcome.
“The matter is being investigated by Delhi Police. We are in touch with them,” Mr Prasad said.
In response to another question, the state police chief said there were multiple agencies, which gave clearance for return of the militants (from Pakistan and PoK) under Rehabilitation Policy of the Government.
