Mayor kick starts development works

JAMMU, Jan 16: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta today toured different localities of Gangyal and started development works there.
Vinay Gupta, Jammu District BJP president; Baldev Singh Billoria, Chairman Health & Sanitation Committee; JMC Councillors Jai Deep Sharma, Surjeet Singh and Jyoti Devi; Harbans Chowdhary, Sham Lal, prominent BJP leaders, locals and officers of various JMC wings including Engineering, Health and Electrical were also present on the occasion.
During the visit the Mayor started construction work of various lanes in Gangyal area at an estimate cost of Rs. 18 lakh.
He directed the engineers and concerned contractor to complete the works with quality material and upto the satisfaction of the locals.
He asked the officers to deploy more men and machinery in Gangyal area to resolve public issues like construction of left over lanes and drains, installation of more street lights, better sanitation, lifting of stray animals etc.
The Mayor appealed to the people to cooperate JMC in making the city neat, clean and green.
