JAMMU, Jan 22: A teacher died today due to alleged alcoholic poisoning in Domana area of city outskirts.
“Ranjeet Kumar (42) son of Chuni Lal, resident of Kishtwar (at present Akalpur Morh, Jammu) had allegedly taken alcohol in excessive after which his condition suddenly deteriorated,” police sources said. They said Ranjeet was immediately taken to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Sources said in this connection, Domana police has initiated inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC. They said the deceased was a teacher by profession.
