KARGIL Jan 23: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan reviewed the functioning of Health Department Kargil during a meeting of the concerned officers here today.
Executive Councillor for Health Muhammad Ali Chandan, Chief Medical Officer Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, In Charge Medical Superintendent Dr Fatima Nissa, District Immunization Officer Dr Mumtaz Ahmad, Block Medical Officers (BMOs) besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
CMO Kargil informed the meeting about the status of the functioning of District Hospital Kargil (DHK), Community Health Centers (CHCs), Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and New Type Primary Health Centers (NTPHCs) in the district, present position of stock and supply of medicines, major and minor operations performed up to ending December 2019, deliveries including cesarean, laboratory tests performed, X-rays, USGs and ECGs conducted, immunization provided to children and other related aspects.
The meeting also discussed in detail various issues pertaining to the functioning of GNM School Kargil, status of existing staff strength, vacancies and requirement of manpower, revenue realization during the financial year 2019-2020 up to 3rd quarter besides other allied issues.
The CEC instructed the officers concerned to work in synergy and ensure that the health staff performs their duties with dedication and devotion so that the people visiting health institutes of the district do not face any inconvenience.
Feroz Khan said the LAHDC Kargil is committed to provide better medical facilities to the people in the district. He also said health has been flagged as one of the priority sector by the Council and in this regard several reformative initiatives are underway including revamping of the health infrastructure in all health institutions in the district.
EC Health Muhammad Ali Chandan said that every official has to realize his responsibility in serving the people and ought to render their services with utmost sincerity and commitment so that people are able to get best possible healthcare facilities.
Meanwhile, officers present in the meeting gave their suggestions and feedback about the roadmap for strengthening the health in the district.
