14 passengers injured in road mishap at Ghagwal

SAMBA, Jan 27: Fourteen passengers were injured in a road mishap after the bus in which they were traveling hit with a trailer which was parked on road side at Ghagwal in district Samba today.
According to the report, the mishap occurred at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Sandhwari area of Ghagwal in district Samba, when a super fast bus bearing registration No JK02BX- 4997 on the way to Kathua from Samba after reaching near Sandhwari suddenly hit with back side of trailer after the bus driver lost the control over the steering .
After hearing the sound the local people immediately went to the spot and started rescue operations as a result 14 passengers who were traveling in the bus were critically injured. They were brought to Taruma Health Care Centre Ghagwal for treatment but doctor referred two critical passengers to district Hospital Samba for further treatment. The injured passengers told that the incident happened due to over speeding by the driver.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
