JAMMU, Jan 27: Agriculture Department Casual Labourers (ADCL) Union in a meeting held under the chairmanship of State President, Rajan Sharma demanded regularization of temporary employees at an earliest.
A large number of casual labourers drawn from various districts of the Union Territory participated in the meeting and projected their demands.
While addressing the meeting Rajan Sharma said that an SRO-520 was framed earlier for the regularization of all the employees working in various departments which had brought a sigh of relief among these employees.
He said that after the framing of this SRO, the casual labourers who had completed 10 years of service had processed their files, which are still pending with the Finance Department.
The members have requested the Lieutenant Governor, GC Murmu to serve directions to the concerned authorities for immediate processing of pending files of these employees.
They warned that the indifferent treatment meted out to these employees by the Government may force them to start a massive protest.
