Pak shells LoC villages

JAMMU, Jan 30: Pakistani troops shelled forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district today leading to very strong and effective retaliation by the Indian side.
Reports said the unprovoked small arms firing and mortar shelling in Digwar sector of Poonch district started around 1.30 pm and continued for about two hours.
The Indian side retaliated to silence the Pakistani guns.
Reports said mortar shells fired by Pakistan also hit other areas in Poonch district but there was no report of any casualties or damage on the Indian side. However, casualties, if any, on the Pakistan side couldn’t be ascertained immediately.
