NPP WC vows to fight for statehood

JAMMU, Jan 31: Working Committee meeting of J&K National Panthers Party held at party office here today resolved to wage decisive struggle for the restoration of statehood to the J&K.
Party chief patron, Prof Bhim Singh while addressing the Working Committee members said that NPP shall declare its programme on its 38th Anniversary on March 23, 2020 what needs to be done to restore the statehood of Jammu & Kashmir without any delay. The Committee also conveyed that the Panthers Party shall launch a movement in J&K for the restoration of the statehood, setting Delimitation Commission for the Assembly Constituencies for Jammu & Kashmir and shall launch a movement for the Assembly elections in 2020 after delimitation and restoration of the statehood.
JKNPP also urged the President of India to issue direction to the Lt Governor Jammu & Kashmir to fill all vacancies of Class II, III & IV which have been lying vacant for more than six months so that the working in the Govt and the schools and offices shall not suffer. He also appealed Lt Governor to provide compensation to the farmers and orchard owners in Jammu & Kashmir.
Chairman and the president of JKNPP could not reach the meeting due to highway blockade today. Prominent among others present included Masood Andrabi, Mohd Iqbal Choudhary, both vice presidents, Basharat Ali – general secretary, Rajinder Singh, Shiv Charan Singh, Shanker Singh Chib, Partap Singh Jamwal, Neeraj Gupta, Rajesh Gondhi, Anil Rakwal and others.
